Legal information

Privacy policy

This policy explains what happens to personal information when you use the Globe Pravasi website. The services you reach through external links have their own privacy policies.

1. Who is responsible?

Shweta Toke, trading as Globe Pravasi
Flugplatzstr. 11b
97318 Kitzingen, Germany
Email: globepravasi@gmail.com

2. Visiting the website

To deliver the pages and keep the site working securely, the hosting service processes technical request data such as your IP address, time of access, requested page, and browser information. We use this information for delivery and security, relying on our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Technical records are kept only as long as needed for those purposes, unless a longer period is required to investigate an incident or comply with law.

We also count approximate site opens to understand whether the website is being used. When a page first loads, your browser sends a request to our own site, which adds one to a daily total. We store only the day and aggregate count for this statistic, not a visitor ID, IP address or page history. Reloading or opening a new tab can count again; visitors with Do Not Track enabled are excluded. The count is visible only to the site owner.

The “Ask Globe Pravasi” website guide records only aggregate daily counts for assistant sessions, opens, questions asked and recommended links opened. Question text, visitor identity and conversation history are not stored. A temporary flag in the browser tab helps avoid counting the same tab repeatedly as a new assistant user and disappears when the tab session ends.

3. Signing in

When Google or email sign-in is available, Google Firebase Authentication handles account registration, passwords, email verification, password reset and Google sign-in. Firebase processes your email address, account ID and sign-in information. The site receives a verified account ID, email address and, if supplied, name; it uses a necessary secure session cookie to keep you signed in. Globe Pravasi does not store your password in its website database. Some existing users may still use Sign in with ChatGPT, which is handled by OpenAI. See Firebase privacy information ↗ and OpenAI's privacy policy ↗.

We use your sign-in details to show your account page, control access and save your topic checklists and chosen focus (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The website database stores your site-specific user ID, chosen topic, completed checklist step and completion time. You can change your focus, untick a step to remove that completion record, or request deletion by emailing us. We do not ask you to upload personal documents for this plan. A new Google or email account does not automatically import progress saved under an earlier ChatGPT sign-in.

Article likes and comments

When you like an article, we store the article and your account ID to keep one like per account. Only the total like count is public. When you post a comment, we store its text, article, account ID, display name and posting time. Your comment, chosen display name and date are public; we do not publish your email address or account ID. This data is used to provide the interaction you request. You can remove your like or delete your comments while signed in. Comments may be removed for spam or abuse. Records remain until removed or until you request account-data deletion by emailing us.

4. Free guide and earlier signups

The free starter guide is available without giving us an email address. The website no longer accepts free-guide email signups. If you signed up when the form was available, the website database may still hold your email address and consent time. That signup was based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). No automated marketing email service is connected to this site. You can withdraw consent and request deletion of your signup record by emailing globepravasi@gmail.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it.

5. Contact and guidance requests

When you submit the contact form, we save your name, email address, subject, message and submission time in the website database so we can read your enquiry and reply. Only the site owner can view these messages in the private submissions page. Submitting the form does not send an automatic email. You may also email us about a service that is not listed on Topmate. We process these details to answer you or arrange a service (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for steps towards a booking; Article 6(1)(f) for other enquiries). Please do not send sensitive documents through the form. We keep messages for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry, service and any applicable legal record-keeping duties. You may ask us to delete an enquiry at the address above, subject to legal obligations.

6. Bookings through Topmate

If you decide to book and pay through Topmate, you leave this website and provide your booking and payment details on Topmate. Topmate handles its own checkout and payment data; this website does not collect your full card details. We receive the booking information needed to provide the service. Please read Topmate's privacy notice ↗ before booking.

7. External links and cookies

The homepage and blog display video thumbnails from YouTube's image service (i.ytimg.com). When the images load, your browser sends technical request data such as your IP address to Google, even if you do not open a video. The videos themselves are not embedded and open on YouTube only when you choose a link. Other links to social networks, banks, official portals and providers open when you choose them. This site does not run advertising trackers. If Google Analytics is configured, an optional analytics notice asks for your choice before the Google tag loads. Declining does not affect access to the website. Sign-in and hosting may use technical cookies or comparable storage needed to provide a requested service. If non-essential tracking is added later, this notice and any required consent controls will be updated.

Optional Google Analytics

When enabled and accepted, Google Analytics 4 processes page visits, browser and device information, approximate location and interactions to help us understand website use. Google processes technical request data and uses analytics cookies such as _ga. Analytics remains blocked until you accept it. Your consent preference is stored on this device for up to 180 days. You can withdraw consent using Analytics preferences, which stops future tracking on this device and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies. It does not delete data already processed by Google. We do not intentionally send your name, email address or account ID to Google Analytics. See Google’s privacy policy. Our existing aggregate daily visit count is separate from Google Analytics.

8. Recipients and retention

Website infrastructure providers process data needed to host the site, authenticate users, save your checklist progress, hold contact form messages and hold any earlier guide signup records. Email providers process messages you send us directly or replies we send you. Topmate processes data you submit there. Providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; the relevant provider privacy notices describe their processing and transfers. Checklist progress remains until you untick a step or request deletion, unless a legal obligation requires longer retention. Other information is retained only for its stated purpose or as long as a legal obligation applies; you can ask about a specific record using the address above.

9. Your rights

Depending on the situation, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent at any time. Contact globepravasi@gmail.com to make a request. You can also complain to a data-protection authority, including the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (BayLDA) ↗.

10. Changes

We will update this page when the website's services or data practices change. The date above shows the latest update.
