Applying for jobs in Germany but not getting interviews?
You find a vacancy, send your CV and wait. Then you do it again. If the replies never come, more applications may just repeat the same problem.
Start with the jobs you chose
Take ten recent applications and put the job titles next to each other. If they range from design engineer to project manager to sales, your CV may be trying to tell three different stories at once.
- Pick two or three roles that genuinely match your experience.
- Compare several current ads for each role.
- Write down the skills, language level and location that appear repeatedly.
Make your experience easy to find
Imagine a recruiter opening your CV for a product role. Can they see the relevant work in the first few lines, or do they have to search through a long list of tools and tasks?
Use clear examples of what you owned and what changed because of your work. Adjust the emphasis for the role you are applying to; keep the facts the same.
Read the response pattern
If you rarely get a first conversation, review your target roles and CV. If you get interviews but no offer, look closely at the examples and answers you give in those interviews. Those are different problems and need different fixes.
Before the next batch, choose one target role and revise your CV against one real vacancy.
